Welcome to the DiaSek Blog
DiaSek Training Association opens a blog — in this first post, we introduce who we are and what we are about.

DiaSek Training Association is a Finnish association that brings together trainers and developers of Dialogical Sequence Analysis (DSA). The association was founded to promote the use of the DSA method in psychotherapy, supervision, and training.
What is this about?
Dialogical Sequence Analysis is a method developed by Mikael Leiman over decades of clinical and theoretical work. At its core, DSA is a way of listening — a way of hearing how a person positions themselves in their speech in relation to the world, to others, and to themselves.
The central concept is semantic position: a speaker is never merely describing things, but always taking a stance toward them. In therapy, this means the therapist learns to hear how the client relates to their own difficulty — not just what they say, but how they say it.
Why this blog?
We want to share thinking, research, and practice. We will write about DSA as a method, about psychotherapy training, supervision, and about what happens when dialogical theory meets the realities of clinical work.
The blog is a space for association members and for anyone interested in a dialogical perspective on psychotherapy.
Welcome.
