DSA是作为心理治疗过程研究方法而开发的。协会成员积极使用DSA开展研究。
临床研究
DiaSek®方法的有效性已在Päijät-Häme中心医院精神科2015-2016年的随机临床试验中得到研究。该研究将DiaSek®评估与传统精神科评估进行了比较，每组各40名患者。
DiaSek®被证明显著更以来访者为中心：患者与评估者在治疗目标、方法和合作质量上的一致性达到0.63（Spearman等级相关系数），而传统评估为0.26。
研究结果已发表于European Journal of Mental Health。
自2015年起，与Nuorten Ystävät协会和奥卢大学合作实施了为期两年的发展培训项目，将DiaSek®应用于青年服务。
DSA-Intelligence
一个开发人工智能辅助对话序列分析工具的研究项目。该项目结合机器学习和专家知识来支持DSA分析。
